Is Magnolia still a safe town?
Magnolia has had a lot of events take place over the last few weeks. On October 5, 2024 Magnolia police department received a call reporting a kidnapping. The kidnapping took place that evening around 8:00 pm near Cypress Street.
Binds has been an on going case in and out of the courthouse. He has been in court for divorce over the last couple of years. This case has been speculated as stemming from the divorce and him falling behind in paying his child support. Magnolia reporter states he was $6,872 behind in his child support. The court earlier in 2023 for bonds to pay $852 monthly but had fallen quite behind.
2014- Bonds was found guilty of a sexual assault case.
2014- Sentenced to 180 months in prison for a charge of arson against his parents.
2023- Parent asked to drop the charges and they were dropped.
2024- Now booked with Kidnapping charges.
With Bonds and his new recent activities he now has a 1 million dollar bond. His kidnapping journey was cut short in a high speed chase. It took about 9 cops and a state trooper. The mother and child were taken into safety and only had a few minor injuries from the high speed chase. Bonds was charged with two counts of kidnapping, and single counts of felony fleeing aggravated assault, terroristic threatening, domestic battery third degree, and endangering the welfare of a minor Magnolia Reporter.
