#19 Classmate Blog Critique

Starting as a new Mass Communication major was nerve-wracking for me, but Steelee has been a huge help to me in this class. Her blog is full of  news stories, and has become a valuable resource that I frequently refer back to throughout the semester. I really appreciate the way Steelee's work has helped me understand course concepts and stay informed. 

What I find most engaging about Steelee's blog is her skillful use of visuals in each post. The cover images alone, visible from the home page, provide an immediate understanding of the content, allowing readers to quickly grasp the post's theme. Steelee’s choice to include multiple images throughout her posts enhances the storytelling, giving readers a deeper and clearer insight into each narrative. This approach is highly effective for digital content, as visuals are known to boost reader comprehension and engagement.

One project I really enjoy was the Trending on Social Media. Dancing with the stars is a show that I really enjoy and Steelee did a great job of breaking down the finale of the show. Steelee enhances her blog posts by including a variety of links that provide additional context and resources, ensuring readers have access to thorough and well-rounded information. She also makes effective use of external videos and websites to deepen the reader's engagement and understanding. Her clear and concise writing style makes complex details easy to follow and digest, maximizing the value of each post.
